The SunCycle Technology

The SunCycle Technology concentrates solar radiation 500 times onto a single III-V solar cell. The solar cell converts the solar radiation into electricity.

To achieve maximum efficiency of the III-V solar cell, water is used to maintain the most efficient operating temperature for the solar cell. The heat this water extracts from the concentrated solar beam can be used by a heating and cooling system to provide thermal comfort to a room or facility.

High efficiency, even when temperatures are rising

Compared to conventional PV cell technology, the technology used by SunCycle is less prone to a decrease in efficiency when the temperature increases. Where conventional PV cell technology loses approximately 5% efficiency for every 10°C temperature increase, the SunCycle solar cell only experiences a 0.5% decrease in efficiency.
